I've had many bad experiences with GF but recently, I ordered an ad hoc booking on a Monday night (hardly peak time) and after about 50 minutes called to check in on where they were (given that they say it should take 45 mins). I was told I would need to wait at least another 15-20 minutes so I cancelled.
I emailed to make a complaint today and I was told that in the Ts & Cs it says it can take up to 90 minutes so I'd be charged a cancellation fee! Having a different time in the Ts & Cs than in the standard comms is pretty unethical especially when used as a justification for extorting money!
I proceeded to cancel my account and told them to cancel my debit order and send me an invoice which I would review and pay by EFT. They responded to say that they would use my debit order regardless of my request. I put a stop on it and let them know and suggested that they send me the invoice if they want payment.
I received a threatening email from Monique saying that if they debit order didn't work, they would "take action". Not only is this a silly threat since my willingness to pay is documented in my email, but it shows a terrible attitude to customers.
