Received SMS from MBD Legal Collections advising that I would be placed on the credit bureau, no reference no. only a contact no. PHoned them and they said that I owe Foshini an amount of R1297. I advised that I do not have a Foshini account as the account that I had through Foshini was closed about /-about 25yrs ago. Mr Manyoni advised that I owe Foshini this amount I said that I cannot understand how I can owe a company for 25yrs and no correspondence had ever been received from Foshini advising of this. I closed this account and you cannot close an account if you still have an amount owing. I asked him to send me proof of what is apparently owing and he sent me a letter on MBD Legal Collections letterhead advising that an amount of R581.52 was outstanding and the interests was for the exact same amount of R581.52 plus legal fees of R34.00. Since when is interest the same amount as the principle amount. I still await their response we have left numerous messages and emails but have thus far had no response.
