Issuing of a Paid up Letter - Settlement of Accoun

Upon receipt of a Special Settlement letter from RL Daly Attorneys dated 26 April 2013, requesting settlement of an outstanding account, I paid the outstanding balance around the 17 May and confirmed this via telephonic conversation with the said company. To date despite numerous phone calls (twice a week) Im still waiting for a "Paid up Letter" from RL Daly Attorneys clearing my name. I'm given numerous undertakings that this matter will be sorted out, however these are merely empty promises. Now I sit with the tag of being a blacklisted consumer over my head and cant enter into any loan agreements, etc.
