On the 17 June 2012 I faxed through the required documentation to the SABC cancelling my TV license to the number supplied by the SABC. I no longer need a TV license as I have emigrated to Belgium.
A few months ago my wife received a Final Notice letter from Makaula Zilwa & Co. I explain the situation and advise them of my new contact details. I also undertake to send the documentation as soon as it arrives as it was being shipped at the time with items from South Africa.
1. Makaula Zilwa have never updated my contact e-mail address.
2. Makaula Zilwa continually send Final Notices to the point of harassment to the INCORRECT e-mail address.
3. I sent through sufficient proof for the sale of the residence and proof of my residence in Belgium as well as a request on how to proceed. Neither Makaula Zilwa or SABC have deigned to respond to me.
I now have the cancellation documents and proof of transmission in good order and sent it to both parties with a request to confirm finalization of this matter. I have a feeling the incompetence will continue.
