On Monday morning 2 December 2013, Style 36 announced on National television SABC 3 Expresso show that they will be having a massive sale for one day only that was Monday, this was done by Ms. Giselle Esau, as expected their online system went crazy with orders, I also placed an order online which came to the amount of R 256.00 and it said that my Cash on Delivery order will be on 4 December 2013, I gave my mother the money and told her about the delivery, i phoned on 4 December 2013, to confirm the order and delivery only to be told that the order does not reflect on the system and that Style 36's systems went down on Monday due to the huge volume of orders, so i asked if i can re-order based on Monday's prices and gave the order info only to be told all the items are sold this is wrong as a backup plan had to be made by Style 36 to accommadate those customers like myself whose orders did not got through. It was ultimately their systems that went down and it is not my fault as a customer, they had to be more responsible. This is extremely unacceptable the call centre agent i spoke to also didn't have a clue what to do.
