Problems with my renewal of vehicle license

I applied for my license renewal on the 26th of August 2013. They sent me an email on the 29th with the banking details and the amount that had to pay, I then paid the amount via internet banking. According to them I would have had my license in 7 working days, which was convenient for me as we were on holiday from the 3rd until the 10th of September, and thought if I came back my license would have been delivered. I starting work yesterday and found an email that was sent from paycity on the 6th of September, stating that they need my new ID, because on my ID my surname is still my maiden surname. I have sent them my marriage certificate because I haven't got a new ID yet. I then also sent them my driver's license as this was on my new surname. I haven't heard anything from them, when I phone the call centre this morning they said they are still waiting for the ID??? In the meantime I can't drive my car because my license has expired on the 31st of August.
