I work at a Optometrist.
I do most of our accounts and also deal with the medical aids.
Netcare use to be one of our no problem medical aids and payment for claims was always on time.
Since January 2013 we have had problem after problem with Netcare.
I have oustanding claims from January 2013. It was send the normal way and according to our feed back al was send to medical aid. When I check with Netcare a month later to find out when the claims will be paid I was told that they never received it.
Now 3 months later and many e-mails and calls later... still waiting! The people at the call centre keep telling me this will be sorted out this week and that I must just wait for the payment run. Today I was told that all our problem claims was going to be sorted out by the supervisor (who is never available when I want to speak to a supervisor). I need to Wait again one week for the payment run!!!
So watch out if you go to a Dr, dentist etc etc... check up with your medical aid. Our next step will just be not to work with any Netcare pasients. I will also tell the pasients why we are not working with them. I am now soooo fed-up! Where to now?
