I went to him for a consultation and dental treatment. I paid R3660 to walk out after 3 appointments with more pain then I ever had before. I complained after the second appointment of pain and that I could not eat on that side and he said it's normal and it can take 2 weeks. Nothing fell right and the filling all had rough edges, not smooth at all. Weeks later the pain gets worse, and speaking to different people, all I heard was complaints, broken teeth, ups from first to last. I went to another dentist and now have to pay R1000ends of Rands and 3 appointments needed to fix all his mistakes. This dentist should not practise any more! If I can warn one person with this message not to go to him I will be happy, if I heard other people's complaints before I would have never gone to him! It is totally unacceptable he gets away with this time and time. Stay away from Van de Merwe in Melkbosstrand! It's going to cost you a lot of money and you will have to get another dentist to fix his mistakes!
