After my operation in June 2012 I sent emails out to find out whether all accounts was settled by my medical aid and whether I had to pay something.
Everything was settled exept a partial payment was made to Dr Heystek. I contacted them on 9 July 2012, but according to them no payment was made.
I then got proof of payment from the medical aid and settled the rest of the account myself. I sent proof of payment to Dr Heystek.
On 15 August I received an invoice (the 1st one from them) stating that if I do not pay R3197.09 I will be handed over. I tried to phone, but no luck, so I sent proof of payment again.
On 4 December I received yet another statement, but this time for the full amount of R4341.19. The full amount without medical aid payment. I tried to phone again, but again no luck. I sent them an email and sent proof of payment again.
On 15 January SAME STORY!
I should have known when he came to me prior to the operation reeking of cigarette smoke, that professionalism is not a priority!
