Discovery are refusing to process a claim for a breast pump for my premature baby as i purchased it from babyCity and not Dischem. I called all Cape Town based Dischems when I needed to buy it and none had stock. On the claims first rejection, a call centre agent (and i am told these calls are always reordered) that all i needed was a Nappy code on the invoice, the ICD code and the Dr's practice no. The Discovery agent, even went to far as to call BabyCity while i was on the line to arrange the invoice in the correct format.
Discovery are now refusing to process the claim as Babycity are not a BHF member - why them did this agent go so far as to call Baby City on my behalf while i waited? Why was this BHF criterion explained at the time when this all started - 11/3/13?
Would Discovery rather me formula feed my premature infant in opposition to expressed breast milk as BabyCity had stock and Dischem did not?
All i am asking for is a benefit to which i pay for and am entitled and I am facing constant rejection and different stories all the time. It is being rejected on the most technical of reasons, one which the call centre agent wasn't aware of at the time of me calling.
