My wife was in ICU ward 17. When we came there her hands and feet was bound. I spoke to her docter and he instructed that she must not be bound. The next morning when we came ther her hands was bound again. We untied her and the nurse in charge of her bed tried to stop us. When we said the the docter gave the instruction she came with a very bad attitude. Another sister came and explained to me the problem and asked permission to tei her hands down if needed. For this a gave written prmission. The same with the afternoon when I visited her, her feet was bound for which I did not give any permission. The nurse, who is supposed to be there 24/7, was missing as well as the report sheet that is supposed to be at the bed at all times. I stayed with my wife for at least 45min in which time the nurse was not there at all.
I lodged a written complaint to the management of the hospital the very next day with a request keep me updated as fer as the steps taken about the complaint. That was 3 weeks ago and up to now not a word from the hosipital mangement.
The management of the hospital does not seem to care at all and that is why the service we get and pay a lot of money for, is so poor.
