My 2 year old Son accidentally stuck his finger in my eye in January, though it was excruciatingly sore at the time it improved after about a weak and there was no 'visible' injury. 6 weeks later it flared up and i was in agony again.
Long story short, turns out my cornea was damaged apparently quite badly... Basil Kotze at Charl Laas Opt. really went out of his way to assist me - he checked on me almost everyday and squeezed me in for quick checks to make sure things were healing under the bandage lens he put on my eye.
When he saw that things were not improving to his satisfaction, again he quickly got me in to an Ophthalmologist to assess. (who had to cut the injured part of the cornea away)
Even after seeing the ophthalmologist Basil still squeezed me in for check ups AT NO CHARGE!
My eye has now healed fantastically!
I am sincerely grateful to Basil, Charl and Johann at Charl Laas Optometrists! Everyone there is friendly and professional and really do go out of their way to help!!
