Goodness... I attended The Irene Country Lodge for lunch today.. The service by the waiters is appalling!! We arrived at 12:00, placed our orders at 12:30 and received our food at 2:00. The waiter asked us if we wanted beef or chicken burgers, and when we queried why the food was taking so long they said because they had prepared chicken burgers instead of beef. When you call a waiter because you would like to place an order, you get told to wait as she is busy and then she disappears and refuses to acknowledge you at all. It took 15 minutes for our waiter to get the credit card machine so that we could pay, there wasn't even a pen in the bill. Shocking for supposed 5 star establishment!
