Last year, I remember receiving a call from a call centre offering me a holiday package which I refused and she said I must apply mind to it and she will call back. She called but I told her the same thing - not interested. In December my bank account was debited with an amount of R 399, I immediately stopped the debit order, thanks to my banker. I asked for details of the company who was debiting my account and I was provided with a cell number that was forever off. That was the end of the story. In January, my account was debited again with a different reference number, I immediately stopped it again, this time my banker provided a landline number. Eventually after so many calls, I was referred to a "Kuban" at Genesis (KZN number). Attempts to get this person were in vain. Got to speak to some rude guy, who gave me 2 other alternative numbers. The lady that I spoke to gave me the run around. I had tried to give her the reference number used to debit my account, all she was interested in was my ID number, which I did not give, and without my ID I wasnot assisted. If really I have a contract with Genesis, with the 1st cancelled debit order they could have informed me of the default
