The service received by my mother at Glywood on Friday, the 25th of September was absolutely disgusting to say the least. My mother underwent an arm surgery at Glynwood which was really painful and uncomfortable. After surgery, the nursing staff took SEVEN HOURS to bring her a glass of water. She called and requested water countless times and was simply ignored. As a result, out of sheer desperation she needed to walk to the bathroom and drink water from the tap. On top of that, the nurse did not put the drip in correctly and inserted it into her arm TISSUE instead of the VEIN!! This resulted in immense swelling and discomfort. Thank so much Glynwood, now she can use neither one of her arms.
I am disgusted and disappointed at the service received from the Orthopaedic ward. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, one would expect some kindness and care from the nurses as families are not there to offer such support.
