A volunteer had been bitten by one of our Rescued dogs, we took her to Fourways life we they treated her but never had a rabies injection in stock, took her later to netcare Olivedale where the attending trauma nurse said we have 3 trauma and all these people you will wait hours (Nationalise them as they no different to government hospitals) I then went to Sunninghill where I explained she had been treated by lfe but just needed a Rabies injection (They could confirm this as I had the scripts etc) and life were just out of stock True to form before they could help I had to pay R1080!!! for the admission and consultation for a R70 injection. I don't mind paying for services but I now see why these should be Nationalised and controlled by government as the service is no better then government and they charge ridiculous amounts
So I expect some BS reason from their PR why they couldn't contact (R1 phone call or R0.001 email) life to confirm she had been seen by a qualified doctor and let the attending nurse administer the injection
