I wanted to become a member of medihelp and got a quotation for -R2600 in 11/2012, in mid December i got an email saying that my brother who is 16 and my dependant has to pay an adult subscription thus bringing total payable to -R3600 i told them am not willing to pay that and would go find another medical aid. All well until 01/02/2012 when lo and behold medihelp deducts -R3500 from my account. According to their call centre my membership was valid for the month of January- really? How can there be a contract but there is no agreed amount. One of my debit orders (valid i might add) has bounced because of this leaving me with a R115 penalty due to chance-rs, am now glad that i never joined (can you imagine the headache in the future if this is how business is run) And apparently they now want me to write letters to get my money back??? And trust me i will be sharing this type of service on all the parent groups iam on, on facebook, twitter you name it. I just regret the fact that i left this till money was deducted i should have taken this up in December!!!
