Processing of claims DELAYED!

I submitted the first of 12 Hospitalization claims to GEMS in March 2013. Till date only ONE claim has been paid. I offered to give all the documents on CD, but they turned it down! The originals were taken to Braamfontein Office and scanned. When there was no progress or feedback, I contacted them and they demand the very same documents again. This repeated at least five times more, each time I complied with their demand.

Once again, a few hours ago I received another email from GEMS demanding clear documents. Immediately I called the call centre, spoke to a certain Ms. Maano (Ref: MH56161764) who forwarded the call to another Ms. Melissa. I had to repeat the story from the beginning.

When she asked for register number of the hospital, I told her to hold on while I searched for it in the computer. I told her to call me back in case it was cut off even accidentally so that I need not repeat the whole story to another person. As expected she cut the call immediately as I was looking for the register number.

They have not even specified which are not clear enough, whether all or, only selected ones. My only recourse is to escalate this issue to a competent authority!
