I moved to South Africa a year ago and I am not familiar with the health system. My employer put me on Discovery Health and pays for it and said I should take Classic Comprehensive as this would be the best cover. So we kept on using the insurance and then I suddenly get a sms to say that my insurance is suspended! NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL EXPLAINING TO ME WHAT HAPPENED! I pay 72k a year and all I deserve is a SMS? I asked a coellegue and he told me about this savings account thing and I realized that I didn't actually get anything paid by the insurance but that all claims went against my savings including the accident of my son when he broke his arm - that expense pushed the savings over the lmit.
Anyways, I would have appreciated a call from Discovery explaining to me what the situation is so that I can sort it out. Instead I get a small SMS saying that I am suspended - NOT PROFESSIONAL! Please CALL ME so that we can sort it out.
