Received a call from attorneys re shortfall on an account for over a year ago! Told me I'm blacklisted etc. I find this very strange as I was not aware of shortfall by mdical aid. Surely the doctor should have sent me accounts and called and sms'd me to ask me to pay outstanding amount. But I had not received anything from them for a year... just a lawyers letter out of the blue! Called my medical aid and the account is for an after hours fee charged. Question... why is the guy charging me for an after hours consultation fee when I was hospitalised and saw him during office hours! Something fishy going on here. Also suspect that the lawyers are fishy as they were very rude and when I asked them to phone back they didn't but rather sent me an email stating that they have gone ahead and listed me with the credit bureau... just like that!
