Poor service from GEMS

My mother is an elderly pensioner who was a teacher in a government school all her life. She has received extremely poor service from GEMS. After hours on the phone to incompetent call centre staff, she has been told that her claim will take up to 30 working days to process - SIX WEEKS. We have had to submit the claim three times, since 10 September - and she may only be paid out next year! This is two weeks' of food money for her. How can people who served this country be treated by our government so badly!
