Not a review of the hotel, but more of a warning about the spa at Leriba hotel.
A Friend and I were there on Saturday. We had booked for a relaxing half-day package (manicure, pedicure, massage, facial, eyebrow wax and tint).
It was an absolute disaster. The 'therapist' gave mediocre massage and facial was not good. I have never had a pedicure where my toenails were not cut/shaped. My 10 year old paints nails better and the polish bubbled from being old and over-applied. I ended up filing my own nails as the therapist could not shape them.
The last straw was that the therapist waxed half my eyebrow off! The owner apologised once, and gave us R100 of a R2400 bill for my 'inconvenience'. Really?? You call having to go to a make-up afterwards to try get the holes in my eyebrows corrected with a pencil 'unfortunate'?? I have much better words for it. You then tell your 'therapists' that if anyone phones for waxing they must tell them that they only tweeze. My word. So you knew you were not capable of doing this and did it anyway? We left in a state immediately afterwards. Warning to others: Do not go to this spa if your life depends on it. Waste your money elsewhere...
