My endocrinologist changed my thyroid medication from Eltroxin to Diotroxin which I duly went to get at my local pharmacy. I proceeded to take this medicine for 3 weeks. As the back of the blister pack states Diotroxin I did not have any reason to doubt that I was actually taking Diotroxin until yesterday when I dropped one of my tablets. When I picked the tablet up I looked at it only to discover that it is actually Levotrin and not Diotroxin that came out of the sealed Blister pack. This means that I have been taking the incorrect medication for three weeks already. I have been suffering from severe headaches due to taking allergy medication instead of thyroid medication.
