Sandton Medi-Clinic branch of Drs Bloch & Partners (Radiology) should fire their extremely rude and insensitive receptionist, and give that job to someone who actually deserves it. I phoned to make a booking for a scan I was recommended to have, and I asked to come in on Saturday. She immediately cut me off and said Saturday's are for emergencies only. I apologised and told her it is very difficult for me to take time off work as I work in a very pressurised environment and I work extremely long hours. To which her response was "You will have to make an appointment Monday to Friday 8 to 4, " and then she hung up. I'm glad her working hours are such a breeze, but there are people out there that work very hard to support families. Her attitude was more than pathetic, and not to mention the fact that she could have been more sensitive to the situation, as the scan I am having is due to a family history of cancer. I then called Bloch & Partners at Morningside Medi-Clinic, explained my situation, and they gave me an appointment for Saturday, after explaining that it isn't customary to do these scans on a weekend, but they would do me a favour.
