Terrible service from discovery health

They didn't want to authorise hospitalisation for my son after he was knocked by a car, because I have changed employers and my membership is in the process of being transfered from my previous employer. This basically doesn't make any sense and disgusting considering that premiums have been paid and up to date. Regardless of what happens in the transfer process I believe I should have cover for the current month since the premiums have already been paid but these guys are telling me that because my previous employer has withdrawn for the END of OCTOBER they couldn't authorise hospitalisation (if I was changing/joining another medical aid does that mean the NOTICE month is not covered?? Where on earth have you heard of that nonsense??
I think its time I look for another Medical Aid as I can't keep supporting these...
