My stepdaughter was treated by Mr Maggen on 23 April 2013. He overcharged our medical aid by a R1 000 and put the claim of almost R4 000 through on an incorrect code that thus went off our day to day benefits. It resulted in the immediate depletion of our day-to-day benefits. We have been out of pocket since.
We (myself and the medical aid) contacted Mr Maggen NUMEROUS times and now, almost 5 months later, the claim is stale and can no longer be rectified. To date, Mr Maggen has made no attempt to resolve this.
Last month, my son, had a similar problem and also required inners. Mr Phillip Carstens in Durbanville kindly helped me and charged me R2 200 for the exact treatment that Mr Maggen charged R4 756 for.
I hope that this post will prevent others from a similarly bad experience.
