Only the best medical aid!!! and more rather worst medical aid. I pay thousands of rands every month and when a claim gets submitted it comes through as rejected. What is the point of paying thousands every month and I get no satisfaction.
My son cut his ear open on the 15 August and I had to take him to the emergency casualty ward at Cormed Hospital. The Doctor assessed the damage to my son's ear and said it needed to be stitched but because the cut was lying on the ear bone he would prefer to have it glued.
As stated on your webpage under unique benefits page
"Trauma treatment at a casualty ward - whether admitted to hospital or not, emergency treatment, like stitches, is always paid from Risk and never from your Savings (meaning we don't deplete your day-to-day benefits)"
The claim from Cormed Clinic R593.92 was rejected. Explanation of rejection was that it was a non- risk event. As stated above EMERGENCY TREATMENT LIKE STITCHES IS ALWAYS PAID FROM RISK.
If this is not a RISK then what is a RISK? I called Fedhealth to inquire why it was not paid and the consultant's reply was "There was no authorization for this claim so it becomes non-risk."
