Struggling to get pre-hospital authorization

My son has seen a specialist 3 Sep and we were informed he needed surgery. On 4 Sep I contacted Bankmed for hospital pre-authorization Ref151025632 & gave ICD/Dr/Procedure/Hosp Codes/surgery date. Was informed 3day turnaround time. Waited and got no reply back. I followed up on 5 Sep Ref151054415 was informed only then that they needed motivational letter from surgeon & photo's, I asked why I wasn't contacted and informed and got a nonsensical reply. So I rushed to surgeon, got motivational letter, took photo's and email [Email Removed] as instructed. Next day, still no reply, contacted them again asked about progress on pre autohorization, low & behold, I was told my photo attachments could not be opened, asked why I wasn't informed, nonsensical reply. I tested to another email, no issue with attachment; Resend photo's. Waited, no response what so ever. Email yesterday frantically explaining surgery is 12th, where is my authorization? No response. Today phoned and emailed again, new help-desk person (3rd since start), can't see photo's, but for some reason could later, now asked again for procedure code, send twice before. Surgery 2morrow, still no authorization.
