I am on chronic medication for Parkinsons - in June 2013 I was going away for 8 weeks and required the medication Azilect and Pexola. I called Bankmed and was advised that due to the fact that i was travelling locally the medical aid would only supply one months medication at a time -this I understood - i asked if I paid for the second months medication -cash would I be able to claim it back - I was reassured that this was possible - which makes sense- my medication is approved on chronic -ongoing - te
he claim for reimbursement of approx R2000 was submitted -10 August - delays caused by request for codes - claim rejected due to double medication request in one month- this was explained 6 times - the final straw is that at approx 3.45 I have being advised by Bankmed that the claim has being rejected again and I have to now go back to the pharmacy and ask them to change their dates -I find that unethical - I am holding on the phone to speak with a senior person - in a meeting on a Friday at 4.05.
this debacle is time consuming frustrating and unnecessary-
