I am on KEY CARE CORE. I have been a member since JAN13. My doc only advised me APR13, i need to go for a liver biopsy (which is covered in this plan). As discovery ws not aware of this, process advised by discovery was go to the surgeon (whom i paid cash R500) as this doc will have to fill out a PMA form. this was done by the surgeon & submitted. No response in 2wks from Discovery, i chase up only to be told NO form was received and the board HAS to review this. FINE, bt why couldnt some1 say that they are still waiting on the form? then i was advsied by discovery, the PMA form has to come from a GP. I paid a further R120 cash jus to get this filled by the GP. Now im told it went through th STD Board, who auth it BUT its still needs to go thro the medical board. how many BOARDS does this need to go throu?? i am now cot in the middle as the surgeons rooms are fedup with the back & forth!! Its now JUN13, this is causing more frustration than anything else. why can i not get the service that I (and my co.) are paying for??? i have spoken to atlest 10 different ppl at discovery and everytime my story had to be explained!! can no1 be of assistance so i get this procedure done?!
