This month Discovery Health suspend my cover for the 3rd or 4th time! Not becaause I have not paid but because their administration is poor and their staff are incompetent!! My health premium is - R5500-00 per month and these clowns suspend my cover because they say I owe them R53-00. R53??? after 10 years with discovery??? R53-00??? Pathetic if you ask me! Anyway turns out I have OVERPAID but they suspend my health cover.
After battling with them and after receiving claims statements from incompetent staff and then on top of that I have to perform the recons as these people cannot tell me where the R53-00 shortfall comes from, some lady calls and says the shortfall is due to non payment on vitality which I paid!!! Never mind that the Medical Aid act does not allow any other payments into the Medical Scheme Bank account therefore my vitality gets paid into a separate bank account, as it has for 10 years. My vitality was not suspended, my ESSENTIAL health cover gets suspended, after I have OVERPAID!!! And then they make BS excuses about Vitality etc which goes against the medical aid act.
