My wife and I were visiting my 81 year old father-in-law who is very ill with a negative outlook at the Fourways Life Hospital. This is never an easy time when visiting loved ones in hospital.
We were approached by some random lady and handed a brochure... at first we thought she was a hospital employee or the likes. A few minutes later after reviewing the brochure we saw that this was actually a marketing brochure for Care at Midstream... we were actually looking for a nurse or doctor to update us on our fathers health and condition.
Now I know we live in a capitalist system and I myself major in advertising so I have no complaints of the "system" but there has to be a line drawn some where. I think its utterly disgusting to approach patients and visitors IN their hospital rooms to solicit advertising material. A new sales person low.
Fourways Life shouldn't allow people to do this either although to be fair, they possibly thought she was a normal visitor.
As a result I will NEVER consider Care @ Midstream whether they're good or bad. Totally unethical and disgusting. I hope you all spread that word. I certainly will.
