I ordered a 3 tier peacock cake for my mum's 70th birthday from "Chef Syam". The picture provided in no way resembled the cake that he supplied. He set up the cake at the venue before we arrived and left without waiting for me to sign off the delivery. The cake itself was shocking. He confirmed a week before that the entire cake would be edible. The peacock was simply icing plastered over a plastic toy pigeon and the "feathers" looked like a pre-schoolers plastercine artwork. The cake was supposed to be a vanilla sponge with caramel and strawberry filling. Looked more like a cake that was bleeding. Only wish I could post pictures here of what this actually looked like. He has not returned my calls or replied to my emails to offer an explanation for his shocking service.
I have read previous reviews by a few other disgruntled customers, but despite this went ahead with the order.
To anyone out there even contemplating using this guy, please do your research properly. My personal experience has taught me that he is unprofessional and literally takes your money and runs. People like this should actually be banned from advertising their products or service - Mrs P Govende
