I have experienced various medical accounts which were not paid by Bonitas. I have been a member for a number of years. The reason I took out a medical aid was specifically for emergencies. I have once again been called by Medi Clinic Worcester regarding a payment which was not paid by Bonitas. My husband suffers from a heart irregularity and after I was attacked at knife point, he had an episode and I had to take him to the emergency room. He could not breath and had extreme pain in his chest. Was I supposed to wait to see if he had a heart attack for it to be an emergency??? I am truly disgusted. I have read the latest booklet which Bonitas sent me and emergencies are supposed to be covered. I would like an explanation. What's the point of having a medical aid if you have to wait to see if the person dies before they consider it an emergency.
