I bought a Samsung washing machine in December as I was attracted by the "R500 trade in on existing washing machine OMO liquids". It took nearly 4 months of phoning/mailing up and down to get them to collect the old washing machine and supply me with the relevant gift card. I got this done end of March / beginning of April.
Then I realised that the gift card has zero money on it. So I email back the contact that assisted me (Eben), who responded in a one liner that I should contact the Giftcard company to activate. I contacted the gift card company who said that the process has changed and Samsung loads the money on the cards. I've since phoned Samsung twice to be told that the issue is escalated to head office. Its now the end of April, will this ever end? I would appreciate resolution because I would have rather given the old washing machine to someone to sell and make a buck, but I went for the R500 option. The detail is under my cell phone numbers as a reference number.
