On January 2010 my husband and I bought a Plasma TV Set from LG for R17000.00. On January 2013 the screen went half blank in the morning of Monday. I phoned LG to report the problem only to be referred by them to their service provider called Xecutronix in Stone Ridge Mall. We then took the TV to them as directed but to our amazement we were told that it will cost us R14650.00 for repairs failure which we had to pay an amount of R146.00 for not accepting the quotation. To us it sounded ridiculous and appeared like a daylight. It was like being told to throw it away and buy a new one or rather being asked to buy the same Tv set twice. We did buy a washing machine from the same company and now wonders if was a brilliant choice. We also wonder if in future we will ever recommend LG products to anyone. We have had Samsung and Hisense Tv for over six years and to date they still function 100 percent perfect. Does it mean that the life span of LG products only last for three years only? Someone enlighten us.
