Unreliable product & terrible after sales service

I purchased a Samsung TV around about 2 years ago. Roughly 6 months ago the screen started to duplicate and created a shadow-like effect. I travel a lot for business and only now, as the problem became worse, was I forced to take it to the service center in century city cape town. I accept that I misplaced or lost my proof of purchase and would probably have to pay for repairs. Besides the shocking service I experienced at the center in century City (That is a compliant on its own which has been pushed aside), when they eventually decided to send me a quote, the amount was R6020.00!? This is more than what I paid for the TV?! There was an option on the Samsung SA site to email the CEO. I did this twice and have had no response? It seems that the shocking service and lack of customer skills stems from the top. The national call center cannot justify this absurd quote and their only compensation is applying for panel depreciation which could lower the costs between R1000 - R2000? I could just buy a brand new upgraded TV for an extra R1400?! I am shocked and angered that a top international brand can take such little pride in the quality of their products and offer such poor service.
