My Sony Bravia (Bought for R11999.99, 4 or 5 yrs ago) has a defect which results in "Auto-Dimming". Whenever there is a dark scene on the TV, it visually dims even more. This is a acknowledged fault with Sony TV's, because if you Google the problem, Sony offers firmware updates to rectify this problem. Only thing is, there is no firmware update available, that I can find, for my model TV (KLV-40s400a). There are settings which could cause this, however, I had set all these settings to "off" (eg. power saving, light sensor, etc.). I e-mailed Sony and explained to them that I need a link for the firmware update, if possible, or whatever assistance. I received an e-mail back saying they will contact me within 2 working days, but 7 working days has already passed. I have e-mail them every 2nd working day as well as on Sunday, but still no response.
