Samsung s4 not living up to flagship standards

I recently upgraded from sgs2 to sgs4 which I figured was a good buy as I only got good to say about the sgs2.Im not sure what is the problem with my s4 cause I seem to get problem after problem and it supposed to be way better than s2. To start off the device is 3 months old and I already got a new battery some functionality isn't working the phone gets super-hot when just doing small tasks on it and up to the point of last night dated 05.11.2013 the phone wont charge, I figured it might be the charger so I plugged in my sg pocket but it works. Now im not prepared to take this phone to the service centre and leave it there as I use this phone on both a personal and professional level. I really need someone from Samsung to call so I can give them the batch number an figure out what's happening it's not the traits of a flagship phone and up until recent I can only sing praise to Samsung electronics but now im really starting to question the devices which is sold to the public.
