I have a new S4 active, which is supposedly shockproof and water resistant. Phone was in bag in pouch, when I took it out noticed that the glass over the camera lens is cracked. Took it to Vodacom, they say not covered by warranty, took it to Samsung's centre in Canal Walk, after 1.5 hours, I am told not covered under warranty either. No explanation, just not covered under warranty. I asked about the accidental damage, only extends to S4. Since I got the phone have had issues with the wifi module, when it connects to WIFI I cannot make or receive any calls, just says "Sim card failed". Nothing mentioned about faulty wifi module at service centre, just given a quote for R5000 to repair cracked lens cover. So what exactly does the warranty cover? Clearly there is a manufacturing defect with the phone? This is not something that normally breaks? Phone did not even fall?
