Poor after sales service - Lving Brands

When I dropped my 4 year old Salton gas heater off to be repaired at their service agent 'The Home of Living Brands', I was told 7 - 10 DAYS - just to get a quote. I thought that was a bit excessive but seeing that I had no other options I left it there. It's now on Day 15 and I still haven't received a quote. I phone regularly to check on the status, but it all hinges on the technician who is off sick or gone home early. I spoke to him last week and he was 'working on it' and then again today and he was going to 'look at it this afternoon'. When I called at 420pm, he'd gone home.

Lesson learnt - check the after sales service before you buy an appliance... Salton / The Home of Living Brands not scoring on that front.
