I have been contacted by what I believe is a syndicate of some kind. I had an account with Intec 10 years ago which was paid for in cash. This "call centre" contacted me claiming to be Intec. They insisted that I owe Intec money. This doesnt add up as:
a: why would Intec take 10 years to contact me?
b: legally a company has 3 years to procure an outstanding amount owed or it is taken off the books.
c: my P.O. Box has not changed surely I would have gotten a bill in the mail?
d: who keeps old receipts for 10 years?
They do not answer but what is most disturbing is that the recording is that of Standard Bank!
Then the line disconnects. So not only are they doing on Intecs name, but on Standard Banks name as well. I can honestly say that prior to this whole thing Intec gave me good service.
I think it would be within Standard Bank and Intecs best interest to take legal a action against these people.
They have harassed me morning noon and night. I hope this matter is resolved as there are most definately many others being targeted.
