I've had a dispute with the Commerce Law and Management faculty since 6 December 2012. I have exhausted all channels within the faculty to have it resolved. I have sent scores of emails, called several times and left countless messages at the registrar's office, messages which are never delivered by the PA Ruth Senamela. Ruth is rude, dismissive and refuses to help anyone. I have requested appointments to see the registrar and even sat outside her office for 6 hours waiting. Ruth is counterproductive and the complete opposite of any of the other helpful secretaries in that office.
With the faculty itself there is no accountability. Forms, letters and applications mysteriously disappear. There is no correspondence and unless you physically go there and make a noise they will not update you on anything. I am appalled at how few of the staff members actually willing to do their jobs or even go the extra. Nanette Da Silva, Marike Bosman, Prof Mahao, Pro Backhouse &;Phillimon Mnisi are the only people who have been helpful. Ruth Senamala's attitude is not appropriate for her line of work and I think she should be removed immediately.
