I enrolled with Intec in November of 2011. I obviously only started with my studies in January 2012. After a couple of months working through the material I had realised it was not what I wanted to study.
I wanted to transfer the course but they would not allow me to, because I have been doing the course for longer than 6 months. I wanted to cancel or try and sell it to somebody else but got told once again that I can't do that.
Now I am stuck paying over R500 a month for 2 years for something I am not studying. I have not made any use of their services, sent in any assignments or needed help from a tutor etc. and most of my books have not been touched. I have also been exempted from 3 subjects. So I am basically paying over R500 a month for nothing.
Nowhere in my contract or on the website does it say I cannot cancel, transfer or sell the course after 6 months.
I have wasted 2 years of my life now, because I cannot afford to study something else since I have to carry on paying for this course.
And all they tell me is that I need a medical certificate stating that I am incapable of continuing with my studies. That would be the only way to cancel this course...
