College Of Cape Town
MISUSE OF BURSARY FUNDS

On 03-09-2013 I was told that I won't get my Umalusi certificate because I owe the college funds for year 2011 and January 2012, whereas they're the ones who owe me R 3000 for 2010 transport that was paid in December 2010 and January 2011 to all students including those who've dropped out and some failed.

I received numerous statements in 2011 from CCT and I went to the admin staff to enquire this, and I was told that my bursary status at their central offices shows that I have an outstanding document that wasn't submitted for 2011 so NSFAS has rejected me, and which was an utterly because I've attached all my documents and submitted everything on time. Luckily, I wasn't the only one having that problem and some students, and then we were later told to re-submit our outstanding documents and we all did.

But we saw no change as we were continuously receiving those statements and we were told not to worry, everything will be resolved. In 2011 we've decided to strike and I raised my case at Guguletu campus and I was told not to worry it's going to be resolved, up until today it's being resolved on top of that they're ruining my future because of their greedy behaviour.
