Durban University Of Technology
(DUT) Durban University of Theifs

I studied at DUT from 2009-2011 and during that period, DUT robbed me of over R3000 which they say were fees owing to them. My 1st problem happened with them in 2010 during the registration process were I had paid R90 short of the registration fee by mistake, I paid R1560 instead of R1650. The woman at the finance section of the registration process made me feel like a criminal just for R90, she didn't allow me to register unless I paid the R90 which I had to the next day and waste another day standing in long queues. The 2nd problem was when I cancelled a module I had registered for. It was like 1 week after I registrated, during this time the students were on strike so no lectures were taking place, once the strike was over, all the paper work was in for the cancellation of the module. I didn't attend any of those lectures or write any tests or exams but when I received my invoice for payment, I saw that I was charged the full price of that module. When I queried it with them, they told me that the system generates the amounts. My 3rd problem was when i had paid all my fees and paid abit extra then decided to leave DUT. I wasn't refunded the extra money I paid. DUT is a NO!!!
