Neels Burger quoted to fix up guttering, downpipes, fascias & some woodwork at my home - job was done in mid-Jan, 2013. I paid 50% deposit & remaining 50% on completion (total R9, 880). I didn't check the 'finished job', as I trusted Mr. Burger to do a good job - he had previously done a roof job for me. Day after gutter job was completed, it rained... turns out the gutters are even worse - now full of holes, paintwork, woodwork - everything really 'shoddy'. I notified Mr. Burger that I wasn't happy & he said he would 'make good' what was needed. Eventually after nearly 3 months, Mr. Burger came to inspect & to 'fix up' the workmanship. After showing him the problems, he felt that I was being unreasonable... he said that he wasn't interested in re-doing the job and would refund my money. The following day he said that he would deduct his expenses before refunding me - expenses for what? Making the gutters, etc., worse? He then decided 'no refund at all' - his lawyer would contact me. I'm still waiting for either a refund, or his lawyer to contact me. He ignores any form of contact, eg email, phone calls. This isn't fair - job needs to be redone with money from outstanding refund.
