Got quote from them end Nov2012 for 3 skylights after hail damage. Was told that they would repair skylights before middle Dec IF we paid the full amount (R8900), which we did on Nov 29. First week of Dec Jeff still promised that the job would be done before 12 Dec. Pitched up on 14 Jan. Appointment for 9 am. Asked them to come early because THREE jobs. They arrived at lunchtime, replaced 1 skylight. Employee knew nothing about other 2. Jeff promised to do others before end of that week. Nothing happened. I sent e-mail to cancel rest of job, asked for refund. no response. Sent him an sms. Initially he said he would repay us. I phoned to confirm banking details etc, then the excuses started. Still no refund. The actual skylight cost R1500, according to another company. Add to that labour of /- R1000, he still owes us R6400. We got another contractor to do the job. The skylight that Star Skylights did replace was still leaking, and the other contractor repaired that as well.
