On 10 Nov '12 I paid Apollo Solar technology to come and install a geyser in a new section of my house. I was busy adding on some rooms and bathrooms to my existing house. The contractor was informed that the geyser could be installed in mid Dec '12, but that the electrical could only be connected in early Jan '13. The electrical could only be connected in early Jan '13 due to it only being completed on 18 Dec '12. The contractor agreed to this scenario. Early Jan '13 we called the contractor to confirm a date. the contractor said that they were busy moving offices to Randburg, but that our work was part of the first new year works to be done. As of today, 04 Mar '14-nearly 2 months later, they have not come to complete their work. Payment can not be a reason, as they were paid in full. We have sent emails and made calls but to no avail.
We tried to report this problem with Eskom, but they said that the contractor problems were not their problems... All that I can do, is to warn other potential users is not to pay the full amount until the job is completed, especially. The reason I paid in full was because I was going to install 2x geysers, but eventually only installed 1x geyser.
