Mark Sterling Plumbing & Electrical
Beware

At the first visit a "big job" was described which would "take much of the day" and an pricey verbal quote was given: rewiring of the geyser system from the D/B board was called for. Thus the quote was reasoned owing to this "big job." On the day of the repairs, the "big job" became a much smaller job but the quote was not revised despite being asked about it twice. Furthermore, poor and sloppy workmanship prevailed: eg: Switch/B cover replaced skewly and only two out of four screws put in; despite having being assessed the previous week, the wrong drains were brought (and the correct ones had to be subsequently gotten); replaced drain pipes were left insufficiently sealed; job not properly cleaned up afterwards. This "big job" took less than two hours (including the 30 or more minutes it took to get the correct parts). The final invoice had to be asked for, and was jotted down on a letterhead; and it was not itemised. The job was paid for by the house owner and any recourse was put off through delay tactics: "I'll call you back." The invoice head mentions "IOPSA Registered"... only. A very disappointing outcome to what was thought to be a professional in the field.
